#PennedPossibilities 1017 — Reveal a source of misery for your MC.
Bijou the #TimeTravelingGhost keeps discovering limitations and side effects of time-travel. A major part of volume one is the act of discovery, so I will not discuss the details.

#PennedPossibilities 1016 — MC POV: Tell us about a time that you found a “skeleton in the closet,”
Ume: We went to a fortuneteller, and the "reading" revealed many "skeletons." I don't feel comfortable sharing them with others, though. Those are my family members' secrets, not mine.
#PennedPossibilities 1015 — Were any of the scenes in your WIP inspired by your own experiences?
In a general way. My experiences as a marginalized person, queer, trans, non-Christian, mystic are reflected. The generalized fear and looking over one's shoulder.
But no action-based experiences have yet been mirrored in my current WIP.
#PennedPossibilities 1014 — If it came down to it, would your SC choose to protect the MC in a dangerous situation?
They do all the time.
#PennedPossibilities 1013 — MC POV: Have you ever lived in another country / place besides where you were born? Would you want to?
Aisisu: Born in the States, has lived in France and Japan.
Sumika: Only Japan
Bijou: Born in France, lived in the US
Emily: Born in the States, has lived in Germany and China.
Ume: Born in Japan, spent 3 years in the States.
Kao: Born in the States, sent to Japan starting in High School.
All accept Bijou and Emily are happy living in Japan. Bijou and Emily have no permanent home any more.
#PennedPossibilities 1012 — How do your characters feel about seeing doctors or anyone in the medical field?
Snip Bijou the Time-Traveling Ghost:
“Look at her.," doctor said. "Do those look like third-degree burns? What kind of idiots do they breed in Yorkshire anyway!?” The doctor was clearly irritated, and I didn’t think my explaining that they were flash burns from a meteor would help. Things would only get more complicated if I tried.
Already, the burning sensation had decreased and was more like an itch. I was going to have to escape before they noticed I was still healing. It would be a sticky wicket, as they say.
I sat up, jumping off the gurney. “Excuse me, I've got to go,” I said and bolted.
End snip
Maybe not quite what the question was aiming at, but the dead have a unique relationship with the medical field.
#PennedPossibilities 10⁷11 #PennedPossibilitiesImposterToot: Time for a creative fun prompt. Replace something in your story with something completely silly.
Sumika: I was hoping for a cat familiar. But a Rhino is a bit over the top!
#PennedPossibilities 1011 — Do you have a favorite song? What is it, and has it ever inspired anything you’ve written?
#PennedPossibilities 1010 — What are any of your characters hiding?
Bijou the #TimeTravelingGhost is currently hiding that she is a time traveler. And covering up for a little ghostly dematerialization by calling it a miracle.
“I am Bijou, a traveling pilgrim,” I said, bowing. “I mean you no harm. My only wish is to bless your house.”
....
“It was God’s blessing upon a humble mendicant. I was seeking St. George’s shrine when outlaws tried to waylay me. God is great, and many are his miracles.”
#PennedPossibilities 1009 — Do any of your characters wear glasses?
Well one time
Snip #TimeTravelingGhost
Emily burst out laughing when she saw the clothes I’d manifested. “Nice duds. Is that what the daring avant-garde wear in your time? Absurd, but it’s charming in its own way.”
I pulled the floppy hat down and the N95 mask up higher, hoping they might hide how red my cheeks were. They probably matched the large cherry-red sunglasses I was sporting. I’d considered wearing a hijab but was unsure about the cultural implications of a nonbeliever wearing one. “I told you I don’t want people to see two Professor Henrietta Dubois’s.”
