I get that Cory Booker is trying to accomplish something by speaking for 13 hours or so on the Senate floor. But what?
Get people talking?
It doesn't actually stop anything Trump is doing.
It isn't an act that organizes people to fight back through their vote, community action, calls to legislators, protesting, etc.
It isn't a filibuster to stall specific pieces of legislation or bad nominees.
It feels very performative for a guy who is planning to run for President in 2028.
Maybe it's me and I'm just that cynical.
