Deeply mired in Page Speed Audit hell. So far over my head I’m absolutely drowning in fixes that never seem to work. I’m so overwhelmed by this stuff and having to do all of it completely by myself. WordPress, once again you have reduced me to tears by reminding me what a self-taught rank novice I am at webdev. Despite not being officially “launched” (I’m in PageSpeed Insights error resolution hell right now), I just noticed that someone not only found my nascent website, but availed themselves of my free download, and I am BUZZING. Back in February #Yoast recognized that "Since Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, many people have moved to the popular open-source alternative, #Mastodon," yet if we want Mastodon integration on our #WordPress sites, we still have to pay for #YoastPremium. How I love being expected to pay what is essentially an anti-N*zi fee just to get the profile I actually use integrated on my site. Gross, Yoast. #Tendinitis flare-up causing me to take it easy on the typing today. Self-massage and a cup of tea are my first lines of defence, and if those don't work, I might head to the public pool for a swim and spa later.
