While I have technically only been a Muslim for six years, it's a journey that began half a century ago, when my dad returned from Saudi Arabia (where he'd been recruited to be an international personnel consultant by two of his former students at the University of Arkansas) bearing a two-volume Yusuf Ali Qur'an, which holds a place of honor on #MyMuslimBookshelf to this day--and runs through 9/11 and the Pentagon, with appearances by shuyukh such as the late Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, Hamza Yusuf, and Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi.
