The hardest part is knowing you have comrades in spirit, yet still feeling like there’s no collective that’s truly yours. Family in principle, but not in presence. At least I can reach out to the NSF from abroad, pay dues, and join their ranks. I'd rather funnel my money into a union that stands for workers like me.

What I’m trying to say is that I have comrades abroad, but no one locally. I do have my own family and friends, yes, but they are not politically literate. In other words, I’m politically isolated in my own backyard, adrift among family and friends who fill the space around me, but leave my revolutionary spirit starving.

So, it turns out it boils down to something like this (lol): mentally unstable? Sure. Politically literate? Absolutely.
