“The Lamb” rediscovered (25.04.2026)

A few days ago I rediscovered “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway”, Genesis’ landmark album from 1975. I was triggered by a two-part episode of a German podcast series called "SWR1 Meilensteine" (milestones), a podcast I highly recommend to all music-lovers (in case they understand German of course).

#musicthoughts Just had a sudden realization listening to "Fratelli Chase" from "The Goonies" by Dave Grusin that I LOVE the sound of low strings were you can almost hear the individual horse hairs on each bow making the attack on each note. It's wonderful.

Now listening to Thirteenth Step by #APerfectCircle.

Album has a lot of personal significance to me. Still their best work, in my opinion.

Touring is harder for artists today than it ever has been before. It’s especially true for smaller ones like us. I fear that the ability to do so will become a thing of the past unless merch fees are removed, healthcare is prioritized, touring visas are properly taken care of, and artists are paid a fair amount.

Please keep going to shows while you still have a chance to do so.
