I will always warn people off attempting to carry #bladeless versions of common pocket #knives and #multitools through #TSA #airport security, for the very simple reason that they cannot be easily distinguished on scanners as being bladeless. If they are flagged by #security, it gums up the works for everyone.

If you present them openly, they *still* have to take the time to manually inspect them, wasting everyone's time and distracting security personnel.

I feel your pain, although I tended to lend it to colleagues in an emergency rather than use mine myself. I still get by PC-wise with a screwdriver set that was £10 from Argos over 30 years ago. In its original box.

Now the #Victorinox SwissTool is a different matter: one of only 2 #multitools I have seen that allows the fold out tools to be used without opening the pliers. I never lend that. (-:
