TIL that Boise has on average (historically, mind you) 60-70 days in temperatures ≤ 0 ℃ either in whole or in part whereas Missoula features 100-120. Sounds like the town for me!

Power went out last night, albeit only on my block, and that before the thunderstorm ramped out. Took the opportunity to take my freezer's peas and meats to the big freezer in Mom's Garage, empty the book case in what's soon to be my bedroom of crapola, and in general make sure we're on the same railroad we think we're on.

I'm not actually moving to Montana, not yet. I'm taking care of Mother, who is becoming increasingly frail. Can't see, can't hear... Brain is still good. It just makes sense for me to be on the scene until the curtain closes.
