The Monkees rarely did covers during their heyday, but this was one of them, although I didn’t realize it at the time. Will Farrell sings “Whole Wide World” to Maggie Gyllenhaal in the 2006 film, “Stranger Than Fiction”. I thought it was so cool that he was singing a Monkees tune (from the ‘80s, nonetheless), because I had never heard the original by Wreckless Eric. 😄 #MonkeesFunFacts #TheMonkees

“Daily Nightly” was the first appearance of a Moog synthesizer on a pop/rock record, and was played by Micky Dolenz. It appears on The Monkees’ critically-acclaimed fourth album, “Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.”, released in November 1967.
