#moirawatch #overwatch Ever go through a set where every game features some hero?
#Bastion was the one, and it led to some big problems.

Moirawatch: How should I deal with Bastion
Intro Notes Is the best way to deal with Bastion just to avoid them? At least, avoid the tank form, and avoid predictable movement that will get you hit by the grenade. You can win a duel without the tank-mode, though, with judicious use of damage orb. If there are opposition team-mates around, though, just get away.
DPS Moira may be countered in healing-centric OW2, but is this bad?

Moirawatch: Limits of Tik Tok Moira - ArX Stream 2023.010.21
Intro Links Twitch: https://safetwitch.drgns.space/arx_uk Notes He discusses the too-much-healing problem in OverWatch. But I am not convinced that is a general issue, even at top level – it is just the way OverWatch has become, and is not necessarily a bad thing. It does mean that ArX specialty DPS-Moira style has been changed, though, because DPS Moira is does not get the kills as she once was. So, in the evolution of the game, DPS Moira is no longer what it once was.

Moirawatch: ignore enemy tanks
Tanks vs Moira are only good for wasted time If you can solo waste their time, that is good. But often they can just kill you and absorb your orbs, so unless you are successfully leading them on a wild duck chase, or are supporting others in targeting the tank, don’t spend you time on them. THis can be especially hard when they have an aggressive in-your-face tank, but that is exactly when you must use Moira’s excellent mobility to get by them and make the tank’s absence felt on their own team.

Schadenfreude and Dueling Reaper Links Other Links: https://safetwitch.drgns.space/videos/1917212054 Losing Streaks ArX goes on a bad lose-streak at GM1 level, which is sadly gratitifying for us who regularly experience loss streaks. What prompted the loss streak? It’s hard to say, but I’ll venture to guess that it was a lack of team synchrony; the other teams just outplayed ArX teams (and perhaps he wasn’t at his best, either).
Vs. Reaper ArX gives a good explanation of how to play against a Reaper with Moira.
I spent too much attention on their tank in one game, and then our tank was too obsessed with KDA.

Moirawatch: not enough in bronze
New Queen St. mistake: too much attention to the tank Rule of thumb as Moira: don’t waste time on the tank. That is, unless you are wasting THEIR time and pulling them away from their team, which I wasn’t. Again I made the mistake of playing too much on the point on a tug-of-war map. As Moira I should position myself on the flanks, where my heals are also greatest.
The first rule of pulling of a spawn camp at GM level: DON'T TRICKLE.

Moirawatch: Havana hate (how to spawn camp, when Moira's awful)
Intro Links YouTube: https://youtu.be/3PRg-MqDOoA Piped: https://piped.video/watch?v=3PRg-MqDOoA Notes ArX hates Havanna because of the imbalanced sight-lines that favor range/snipers to the extreme (at least, at GM level).
Second round he shared the rule of spawn camping: if your team dies, do NOT trickle but instead regroup.

Eley Zhau OTP Mercy Links YouTube: https://youtu.be/bYnzHiKYkWw Piped: https://piped.video/watch?v=bYnzHiKYkWw Notes I enjoy watching eleyzhau’s1 YouTube videos. Mercy has a style so utterly different from Moira that the contrast is both interesting and instructive. Note that zhau plays a normally 0-damage Mercy, which is totally viable (maybe best?) since damage boosting is usually far better than whatever damage Mercy deals with her pistol. Like Moira, she is a close-range healer; in fact, not having orbs, she is much more bound to the medium-close ranges than is Moira.

Moirawatch: Primary heals as Moira in Season 6 - Paraiso (Top 50 Moira)
Intro Links YouTube: https://youtu.be/SjfSg0rCkL8?t=2 Piped: https://piped.video/watch?v=SjfSg0rCkL8 Notes Really high-activity Moira play from ArX, this time in the rare roll of primary healer (since his teams’ other began as Lucio). “I hate playing with Lucio!” he said, because by requiring he be primary healer, heh would be unable to leave the team for big flanking excursions.
The game demonstrates excellent use of Fade for retreating around corners and out of sight in order to maximize longevity, even with the enemy Diva on the constant hunt for Moira blood.

Moirawatch: Healing-first win streak
Questioning my value We played a game in which I was soundly out-performed by the other healer (but not to smurf-suspicion levels), although we took the win. This led to pondering whether I had contributed much to my team.
Principles of Life-First Wanting to be sure I brought good value to my team, having made the resolution to focus on keeping my team (myself included) alive, I seem to have hit a sweet-spot of what Bronze needed from me this session, and I had a nice little win-streak.

Moirawatch: Moira ASMR Gameplay
Intro Links YouTube: https://youtu.be/FJQQOQZZYcU Piped: https://piped.mha.fi/watch?v=FJQQOQZZYcU Notes ArX was right on that I enjoy his ASMR1 style in general; where other streamers have high-energy constant talk streams, like Ml72 or, loudest I’ve experienced, Nolan3, or they have lots of bells and whistles ornamenting their stream4. This video was a portion of ArX sometimes silent streams, where he lets his gameplay speak for itself.
The game is on Gibraltar5 and I particularly admire ArX way of opening on the map, immediately fading out the door and hurling a damage orb down the hallway where people are most often waiting (at least, at high-ranks), and not attempting to stay in the firing range but instead falling down to the cart.
