QmodellerExperimenting with OO scale ballast today. This is Woodland Scenics' light grey fine ballast.
The colour is what I want and in terms of size, all the trackage is for sidings, so I think this is about right. But i'll sleep on it before committing to laying the stuff down!
A bit of "lash it together improv" to make the air brush easier to use!
A little more progress on my UK micro layout. Today I got stuck in to painting the track with the air brush. First up, a light coat of #RailMatch "sleeper grime", to tone things down a bit. Took care to keep the paint off the points for now.
I'll let this thoroughly dry, then paint the rails rusty.
