Seemed fitting that the first 45 I play on my #Turntable this century is a #Vinyl release of a tune by a fictional '60s band in a movie released in 1996.
The post delivered the first vinyl release of the soundtrack today. The #record is a single #LP + a 45 in a gatefold, with an obi strip and nice colourful insert book.
Blurb on the back written by the Wonders manager, A.M. White says it was re-engineered for Vinyl. And yeah, it sounds nice.
The movie #ThatThingYouDo is a fun little romp written by, directed by, and starring #TomHanks about the meteoric rise of a small-town band.
Yep, it's one of my regulars on the rotation. And it's got a lot of good original music entirely appropriate to the period.
Fun cameo by #ChrisIssak, and some early #CharlizeTheron and #LivTyler great attention to set design the 'look'. And a few 'space' related easter eggs.
