Jessica Fong crowns Miss Fiji 2025 Peggy Ravusiro in Suva

Jessica Margaret Rose Fong of Suva, Fiji won Miss Fiji 2019 at the Suva Civic Center Auditorium in Suva on November 15, 2019. A total of 14 candidates competed for the crown.

On December 13, 2025, Fong crowned her successor Dr. Peggy Symmone Walo Emily Ravusiro of Labasa, Fiji at the Suva Civic Center Auditorium. Eight candidates competed for the title.

Originally from Papua New Guinea, Ravusiro is an alumna of St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Suva and she has maternal links to Kadavu, Fiji. In 2019, she entered the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences of Fiji National University in Suva.

13 things about Miss Pacific Islands 2026 Ailava Samuels

Ailava Samuels represented Nasinu, Viti Levu, Fiji in the fifth edition of Miss Fiji. She represented the country in the 37th edition of Miss Pacific Islands.

In 2026, Samuels made history as the second Miss Pacific Islands from Fiji following Anne Dunne, who won the title in 2016. The beauty pageant was called Miss South Pacific from 1987 to 2013.

BIOGRAPHY

Samuels is a Samoan-Fijian beauty queen born and raised in the greater Nasinu area. She is the first child of Susana “Sue” Samuels, the owner of the LavaLani brand.

Ailava has Samoan roots through the villages of Si’umu, Upolu, Samoa and Mulivai, Apia, Samoa. Here are 13 more things about her:

    Papua New Guinea’s Dr. Peggy Ravusiro is Miss Fiji 2025

    The winner of the fifth edition of Miss Fiji is Dr. Peggy Symmone Walo Emily Ravusiro. She will represent Fiji in the 37th edition of Miss Pacific Islands, an international beauty pageant for countries in Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia.

    Dr. Peggy Ravusiro

    Originally from Papua New Guinea, Ravusiro is an alumna of St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Suva, Fiji.  She has maternal links to Kadavu, Fiji.

    In 2019, Ravusiro entered the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences of Fiji National University in Suva. She completed her final year of medical school rotations at the Labasa Divisional Hospital in Labasa, Vanua Levu, Fiji.

    As Miss Island Accommodation 2025, Ravusiro competed at the 2025 Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North Queen at the Subrail Park in Labasa on September 6, 2025. She was runner-up to Miss Labasa Divisional Hospital 2025 Zeenia Mohammed.

    Miss Fiji 2025

    On December 11, 2025, Ravusiro graduated from Fiji National University with a medical degree. On December 13, 2025, she represented Labasa at Miss Fiji 2025, competed against seven other candidates at the Suva Civic Centre in Suva and won the title along with the Best Research Topic award.

    Runner-up to Ravusiro was Ailava Samuels of Nasinu, who also won the Miss Photogenic and Best Traditionally Inspired Attire awards. The second runner-up was Rhyelle Aisea of Suva, who received the Miss Internet and Best in Sarong awards.

    Shrdha Mala of Rakiraki and Berenadeta Ela Waqavanua of Nausori were the respective third and fourth runners-up. The other candidates were Lebaiwasa Wakawaka of Lautoka, Alumeci Davu of Nadi and Sera Kiawe of Tavua.

    Mala won the talent portion. Davu was Miss Personality.

    Patricia Naisara hosted the coronation ceremony. The event was graced by Miss Fiji 2019 Jessica Fong, Miss Pacific Islands 2025 Litara Ieremia-Allan, Miss Fiji director Ana Tuiketei and Maciu Nalumisa, the minister for local government in Fiji.

    In February 2026, Ravusiro will represent Fiji at Miss Pacific Islands 2026 in Nadi, Fiji. Among her fellow candidates is Iampela Popena, who will represent Papua New Guinea.
