My lunch walk today included spotting a number of different butterflies (although I could only take a photo of two) πŸ¦‹. #butterfly #butterflyphotography #nature #minibeast

I love this time of year. The seasons finally feel like they're starting to change and all those creepy crawlies are starting to emerge. This weekend I spotted a froghopper a rove beetle and even a spider in the process of devouring an aphid.
What's even better is that this is Nathaniel's first year of being into bug hunting. It was him who spotted the froghopper and his excitement to find something is a thing to behold!

One of our Kangaroo Paw plants in the yard has a very ornate & hairy visitor

The Tussock Moth caterpillar is hairy from every angle, and has pale tufts of hair on its back

Tonight I see it's started to make its cocoon so was a good thing I caught it earlier
