Signal has a long and storied history with expat & resistance groups worldwide. I first followed my shaykh--who was imam of the Grand Mosque in Damascus until he spoke in support of his people during the Syrian Arab Spring--onto the platform, back when WhatsApp betrayed us all by selling out to #MetaZucks.

#MetaZucks, and TikTok GENUINELY WAS created as a data harvesting and cyberwarfare tool by the Chinese intelligence apparatus (and is likely now going to be used the same way in service of the #TurdReich and its #ICEtapo -- just as in Venezuela, they're not DISMANTLING a hostile autocratic regime's tools, they're just ACQUIRING THEM in a hostile takeover).
