I didn't see #ReadyOrNot, but #Companion is not much of a gory slasher movie. Its comedy is dark, bitterly ironic, and works on a couple of levels. It reminded me of #MenBehavingBadly - the comedy is in watching people who are actually bad convince themselves they are good while being selfish, entitled pricks too incompetent to make it through the plot.
I loved it, and have seen it twice in the cinema so far.

Gary needs a lodger to help pay the mortgage on his flat. Unfortunately, neither of his lodgers seems to be able (or willing) to pay any rent at all! First there's Dermot and then Tony.
