This, like #MeasureOfAMan, was interesting the first few times I saw it, but over time the obvious flaws in the arguments make it seem artificial. Like, Worf's state of mind when not as the Capt of the ship should have no bearing on the case.
What's happening here is basically character assassination, which is usually inadmissable as evidence. (Lately, tho, it shows up in sentencing hearings)
I can't understand how #Data doesn't understand what #Picard is warning him about. It's what he warned of in #MeasureOfAMan - assembly line creation of life for slave labor.
Hillariously, TNG trek has been doing this repeatedly with holograms like the EMH, and not acknowledging the implications at all. 😖
I don't know why the #StarTrek #Voyager episode #LatentImage isn't mentioned more often in the same conversations as #TNG's #MeasureOfAMan.
It is, in many ways, a better exploration of the same topics.
I get goosebumps when Picard cross examines Maddox and then gives his speech.
