The artworks he was reminded of were Ophelia by John Everett Millais because of the lush flowers and plants and Pandora by John William Waterhouse because of the dress. We tried out some poses inspired by some of Waterhouse's paintings and chose one where I'm looking wistfully at the sky. Here is a series of other contenders:

It had been gloomy all day and had stopped drizzling just long enough to take photos for the season announcement. I wanted to take the pictures outside in nature wearing a vintage dress that I love by Jewish designer Max Azria and shoes by Vivienne Westwood. I'm not the most visual person, but my husband has “the eye”, and immediately knew where and how I should stand and told me what artworks my dress and the location reminded him of.
