Jesus: "Can you drink the chalice that I am going to drink?”

James & John: “We can.”

Mrs. Z: Yesssss!

Me: Yo, guys, I'd think twice before I signed that dotted line!

Jesus: 😉 They'll figure it out eventually.

Today's Gospel from #Matthew20 always makes me wonder whether it was the ambitious mother who wanted to see her two sons at the top of the food chain; or was it the two brothers who talked their mother into pleading their cause (since Jesus had a track record for listening to the pleas of women)?
Anyhow, these two guys have no clue what they're getting into...
Says the sister who took vows months before she reached the legal drinking age. Sure, I knew what I was getting into.. and no, I had no clue AT ALL.
My takeaway: Yes, it is dangerous to get messed up with Jesus—a very good kind of dangerous.
