I just published the tiniest utility to strip TOML/YAML front matter from my markdown files. I use it with the excellent Marked, by @ttscoff

I just tried to install Marked 2 and I got hit with a little message that my license code has already been utilized – which seems to be a limitation of the license service Brad uses. He does offer to reset the code manually and I was this close to taking him up on his offer until I saw how old my license actually is. I mean, I joke around about how I lose track on how old the things I use are but I’ve been using Marked for over a decade with the same license now.
And then I decided to just get a new one. It’s great software, more than reasonably priced and while I don’t have to spend money on it, for today, I want to.

Maybe check it out, too, especially if you write a lot in Markdown.

Marked 2. Smarter tools for smarter writers.

Marked is a Markdown preview with an elegant and powerful set of tools for all writers.

@mudge I _adore_ iA Writer, and use it for 90% of my general writing. However, it doesn't currently recognize its own sister product's markup yet (e.g. iA Presenter) or work well with variants like #Markua or #GitHubFlavoredMarkdown. That sometimes forces me to switch to a very customized .vimrc so I can tweak the markup, but that's (perhaps) a nitpick.

Between #iawriter, #vim, #Marked2, and #PanDoc I get all of my #WYSIWYM writing done faster. Thanks for sharing your process!

Great to find new uses for #marked2 - I have had this app on my MAC since forever. Great app by @ttscoff
Happy! Just made #marked2 my default app for all markdown files.
Now when I "open in default app" in #obsidian via my hotkey, it shows the content in #marked2. Great when you just want to copy and paste some text in a nice formatting into mail.app or similar. So happy about this little tweak.
