MarkusAlthough I have discontinued support and further development of the #TeXLaTeX package #marginnote, I have moved development from #github to #Codeberg, created another release, and also uploaded it to #CTAN. #TeXLive has already adopted the new release. The change it contains to column detection in native twocolumn mode comes from TeX.SX user cabohah. A new maintainer is still being sought.

I looked through the cards in my personal Trello board, "Tinker's Tote", and I realised that they form a directed graph with loops.
It's insane to render it into columns by default! It creates a huge cognitive strain to maintain the graph structure in my mind.
That's another part of my life I'll be switching to #MarginNote.

Max的功能归根结底要建立在两种平台都买了的基础上再加钱才能拥有，但是对于只买了一种平台（例如只买了ios或者Mac）的人来说，要加Max功能必须另花200左右，对于一般学生来讲这真不是小钱，加上“被刺”这种说法的盛行，学生不是不愿花那么多钱买，而是有很多被“被刺”过后产生了对开发者的不信任感。
虽然说了Marginnote的种种在价格上的不是，但是它的功能和价值是不可否认的，在我从3到4过度的过程中更在乎它的功能好不好，值不值得花这个钱，毕竟换代加钱放在国外不是什么神奇的事，而且Margin官方在换代之前也说过“价格以实际为准”。

说实话这次Marginnote 4 升级后非常不错，用起来很流畅，而且学习集这种叫法比3代更好理解，缺点是4之后的一些功能和3的位置不一样，又要重新开始习惯。

@insiderphd I have an 11inch pro and a Mini because the latter fits into my jacket. I prefer the Mini for reading reflowable stuff, reading in bed and writing notes on the go (and social networks).
I prefer the Pro for reading academic papers (usually in A4 format) and for taking notes while reading (#marginNote, #ConceptsApp, #DevonThink, #Obsidian)
Both work fine with the pencil for all UCs but I prefer the Pro for longer/serious work/office stuff. However, the Mini is always on me.

Forrest Perry@mstine Yes, I can see why you say that, and I'm guessing it's just a matter of time before we'll be able to create a Canvas that has a PDF on it that you can then annotate in a way that integrates with all the other stuff you have in Obsidian.
I love #LiquidText and #Marginnote, but despite using both for a couple of small projects, they feel too cramped for me. I think I won't use apps like those until they are turned into Minority Report–like augmented reality apps.
