The concept of considering all areas of the process is clearly shown including

🧭 Signage and Wayfinding (designed by #JockKinneir and #MargaretCalvert) using a consistent typeface and series of symbols.

🚶‍♀️ Hard flooring for highly trafficked areas but carpeting used in areas where passengers can relax.

Today is the 87th birthday of Margaret Calvert. You might not know her, but you'll be very familiar with her work, and you've probably seen a picture of her today without even realising it.

In the 1960s, Margaret Calvert designed the pictographic road signs which are now a ubiquitous part of life in the UK. She based the girl on the Children Crossing sign on old photograph of herself.
