Maker Monday
I made these acrylic M.C. Escher lizard templates on #MakeItLabs CO2 laser for Maryann Geiser to cut out the pieces for a quilt ... and the quilt she made from them.

Another project on the #MakeItLabs CO2 laser.

I saw a Xmas tree ornament like this covered bridge in a museum gift shop in VT. "I can make that!"

Designed in Inkscape & etched & cut it out on the laser.

The little one next to it because I had plywood 1/2 the original thickness.

A while ago, the #SolderSmoke podcast issued a challenge to build a 40 meter (7 MHz). direct conversion receiver. They created schematics and videos detailing the process.
The ham shack resource manager (KA1PQK) at #MakeItLabs organized a group project. Together, we each built our own copy of each module (oscillator, mixer, band-pass filter, and amplifier).
I decided to go a bit further than mounting it on a simple board ...
Several of us at #MakeItLabs have begun the #SolderSmoke challenge direct conversion receiver. Last night we constructed the oscillator. Please forgive my poor soldering skills. πŸ˜ƒ
I finally got authorized on my #makerspace 's ( #MakeItLabs ) #3dprinter with a bed large enough to print end caps for my #telescope
My son-in-law thinks their cat is trying to kill him so I made "Murray the Murder Cat" last night out of acrylic on the laser at MakeIt Labs as a Christmas gift.

A friend expressed a desire to drive the length of US Route 20 (I assume in his 1959 Thunderbird), so I put together each state's GPS routes and laser engraved the USB drive appropriately.
