This was expected, with nodes running large scale farming operations and modified code suddenly being pulled from the network. Due to the sudden drop, the replication processes in nodes are triggering, causing a spike in network traffic.

- New node release. Node operators must update by 16 Dec.
- A Merkle element is included in the new release for 95% reduced fees.

This week we’ve been finalising plans to polish several network features to make them business-ready, including allowing people to hold ANT through paymasters without needing separate ETH for gas, and enabling devs to code their apps in such a way that the upload fees can be funded for the user — so plenty of flexibility for different business models. We’re including paymasters within Dave, to prove the solution out.
