I have used #MacCatalyst for years and appreciated what it does in spite of some sharp edges and neglect on Apple’s part, but using Claude in #Xcode to port a #SwiftUI / #UIKit app to #AppKit really spells the end it.

Best as I can tell, even if you build a macOS Share Extension to add to your iOS project, a Mac Catalyst app can't support a Share Extension.

I'd like to be proven wrong, but from everything I can tell, this is how it is. No Mac Catalyst app can have a Share Extension running on a Mac.

Still working on @ripppleapp, a trakt.tv client made for iOS, available on iPadOS, and macOS to track, discover, and share movies and TV shows.

This year, I’m bumping the deployment target to 26, the marketing version to 26, and preparing Liquid Glass for day one! #headfirst

I am aware of an issue affecting users on iOS and iPadOS 26 beta that causes the app to crash when opening a file. I have identified the cause of this issue and will release a fix soon. Stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, if you rely on NS MIDI Player for important work, I strongly recommend not upgrading to iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26 until the final versions are released this fall.
