This is a new chapter of my Mastodon experience, so it deserves a proper #introduction.
I am a researcher in MR methods, mostly working on muscle imaging. I am involved in the Reproducible Research Study Group of #ISMRM, co-creator of the first #MRITogether workshop, and involved in the #ESMRMB and #ESR.
A couple of days ago, I created https://mrtodon.net, this instance. Together, we can make it the reference social for the MR community, a free and friendly space to share our ideas!
Thanks so much to the organisers of #MRITogether! I'm grateful to have received an award for my abstract about #QSMxT, an open-source pipeline that automates #QSM reconstruction and analysis (https://github.com/QSMxT/QSMxT).
If you missed my abstract, you can watch it on YouTube at https://youtu.be/Jy4M1XtrJj4.
QSMxT is straightforward to install using Docker and Singularity containers, as well as through the Neurodesk project (@NeuroDesk).
I'm so happy to have my abstract awarded by the #MRItogether organizing team. In this short presentation, I talk about all the open science practices I used to share code, data, and an executable research notebook where other researchers can replicate our figures and play with our data structure (www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbP3TspxMFY).
In addition, we now have docker/singularity containers for training deepRetinotopy available on NeuroDesk (www.neurodesk.org/) π
This week I gave a talk at the #MRItogether conference about our @NeuroDesk open-source platform and how it interacts with Open Data Platforms.
The recording of the talk is here: https://youtu.be/bbSDNSzLftI?t=1155
The slides can be found here: https://mri.sbollmann.net/index.php/2022/12/09/talk-about-open-data-and-neurodesk-at-mritogether/
If you like to experience the NeuroDesk platform, you can pick an instance close to you and login via github:

Europe: https://bheurope.neurodesk.org/
If you want to hear me ranting about what's wrong with #science and #publishing, and then giving hopefully constructive concrete actions we can take to make it better, including #neuromatch open publishing, check out my talk at #MRITogether π
Join @[email protected] and me today at 17:00 UTC for the #MRITogether session
"Open publishing: the editors' perspective"
with @behrenstimb (@eLife), Peter Jezzard (MRM, @mrm_highlights) Sarahanne Field (@trialanderror), and @[email protected] (@[email protected])
If you missed my crazy talk at #MRITogether about #RegisteredReports, #Preregistration, and holding your pee when doing method-development research, check it out here π!

We need to change the culture around methods and start doing #ReproducibleScience!
