Another book I finished in March for the Middle Earth Road Trip Readathon: "In Name of the Queen" by artist Nicolette Berendsen from https://hoofdkantoorbijzaken.com/ . This Dutch non-fiction book combines an ABC of facts about bees with beautiful collages. The writing is humorous and although I mostly picked this up because of the illustrations, I also learned a thing or two about bees!🐝

This is probably my favourite thrift shop find to date: Arthur of Albion by John Matthews and illustrated by Pavel Tatarnikov. It has been on my shelf for a couple of years now, but I finally picked it up in March for the Middle Earth Road Trip Readathon. The book contains a collection of short retellings of stories surrounding King Arthur and the knights of the round table, alternated with pages that present some facts about particular elements of the stories, such as mythological creatures, weapons and the creation of Camelot. While the book doesn't go very indepth, it definitely got me excited again about reading more Arthurian tales and the illustrations are absolutely beautiful!

My first read for the Middle Earth Road Trip Readathon: "The route to happiness", which is about your relationship with different people in your life. I am reading it for the second prompt "Samwise's potato plot: a book that will aid in your personal growth / learning".

While I do enjoy reading self help books every now and then, they can be a bit hit or miss for me. Sometimes these books seem unnecessarily long; I much prefer a short book that presents one idea in a very clear way than a more regular sized book that is actually full of repetition or unnecessary side notes. Other times the book reads more like a brochure for some course the author is trying to sell, which is even more annoying. I do usually get something out of these books though, even if it is just a reminder of something I already knew.

So far I'm enjoying "De geluksroute" though, but I'm not too far in yet. What is a self help book that you really enjoyed or found helpful?

My TBR (at least the books I own a physical copy of) for the Middle-earth Road Trip Roadathon, which starts tomorrow. I like that it's quite a diverse list and there are a few on here that have been on my shelf for a while, so I'm excited to dive in! The readathon runs 1-31 March and more info can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUnytX3iItM&ab_channel=ThingsLucyReads
