I had the chance to present a poster about our HPC cluster BinAC 2 at #deRSE26

We're providing computational resources for researchers in Baden-Württemberg working in the fields of Bioinformatics, Astrophysics, Geosciences, Pharmacy and Medical Informatics:

If you're a researcher at an university in Baden-Württemberg from another field, check out the other HPC clusters bwHPC provides:

On my way to migrating my personal blog from Gatsby to Gleam, I thought it would be great if we had an easy-to-set-up framework for building blogs with #Gleam, #Lustre, and Markdown support.

So I spent my time on a flight this weekend to develop blogatto.

Blogatto allows you to set up a simple configuration to render blog pages from routes, with Lustre views and markdown files, by providing the configuration to render components.

It also supports easily building the RSS feed, the sitemap, copying static assets, and robots file.

Wisp does not support WebSockets (yet). Lustre’s SSR uses Misp directly. To use Wisp—which comes with many convenient tools for web development, such as cookies and middleware—I need to run a Wisp-based web service on one port and a WebSocket-dedicated service on a different port using Misp. That’s annoying.

Gleam and Lustre have become my first go-to tools for web development.

Happy New Year! 🎉

Today I published “Gleaming Wails: Idiomatic Gleam & Lustre Msg naming with nice refactor | Always Developing #253” to my YouTube channel.

In this session I switch to using more conventional names for the app’s Lustre Msg types, which turns out awesome as it helps me see where I was going wrong, could remove some messages, and simplify the update function!

Today I published the 256th video on my YouTube channel.
It’s only my 251st full Always Developing video, there’s been a handful of quick catchup “.1” videos, and my very first video was nothing related to coding.
However, I still think it’s pretty neat to have hit this milestone.
Merry Christmas nerds! 🎄😀
