joostruisProud to say that we have come at a point where we can see all the benefits of using #Luet , a #container based package manager.
I installed #MocaccinoOS 1.2 KDE that was released Feb 27, 2023 with Plasma 5, #Linux kernel 6.1.14, older gcc/python/Qt and clang versions. This was even before the merge-usr ( https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Merge-usr ) change.
Upgrading that system went like any other upgrade and did not even break Plasma that was upgraded to 6.2.4. Very cool!

I should try out MocaccinoOS one of these days. Luet looked like an interesting golang container-based building package manager.

Joost RuisHow we build packages for #MocaccinoOS community repository: We use github to launch a runner on a node where we have #Kairos installed. Once it is done compiling, using the all mighty #Gentoo portage images are generated as artifacts who are then are uploaded to Quay.io where they are hosted for clients to pick them up using the #Luet package manager. #Linux #FOSS
