We recently got back from #WoundedKnee where we tended to the graves. For those unfamiliar, Wounded Knee is a mass grave site where our #Lakota ancestors were massacred in 1890. #SpottedElk (unpangleska) was the leader & my daughter’s ggg grandfather. Lineal descendants are buried here. Our relatives, Richard and Jasper are the first two graves as you walk in the East gate, in front of #LostBird. I am now a purveyor of white bread & white rice for my hungry little temporary housemate Quids. It’s the only food I have that quails can eat. I’ve checked over 20 quail related websites. 🤔 I call this meal “white rice & bread.” Quids is now noshing down and is safely contained in the laundry. Poor little darling is hungry. None of my local posts have garnered any leads. So I think tomorrow I’ll take him to the vet who knows all the bird carers. #quail #carbs #lostbird #randomhousemate #animallover #boringfood
