Funny how the story as far as I can tell wants to be BIG, but still can't be bothered to deal with multiple galaxies and galaxy clusters and so on.

Like Peter F Hamilton, he has the ability to craft a huge tome, that somehow doesn't actually feel like a massive tome when you're reading it, because it's immersive & clips along so well
