On Sunday, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari stated that India aims to bring its logistics expenses down to single digits by 2026.
He highlighted that India’s current logistics costs, at 14–16%, remain higher than global benchmarks - around 8% in China and nearly 12% in Europe and the United States. Gadkari made the remarks in New Delhi during a ceremony where Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two significant National Highway projects.
