Courtney Love has just launched a new eight-part series about women in music on BBC Radio 6 Music and finished her memoir, "The Girl With the Most Cake." She also recently marked the 30th anniversary of both the death of her husband Kurt Cobain and the release of Hole's seminal album, "Live Through This." The Evening Standard's Dylan Jones talked to her about Taylor Swift ("not important"), Madonna ("I don't like her and she doesn't like me") and whether she's an English lady now.

#GreatAlbums1990s - #Hole - #LiveThroughThis (1994). Courtney Love isn’t much of a singer, the songs sound half-finished, the guitarist is a low-rent Thurston Moore, and the drummer can’t keep time. For all that, the set works as a cathartic, impassioned screed against women’s marginalization. Knowing that “the girl with the most cake” grows up to run a gauntlet of Ted Nugents makes it impossible not to empathize – or, better yet, feel her anger. #GreatRockAlbums, #Music, #Rock, #AlternativeRock
