➤RNG finally smiled on me and I got some bugs and Sky Rocks I needed to get two more books and have the last townsfolk move in
➤I saw all the townsfolk cutscenes which I was aiming to "finish" the game. There's no proper end as far as I know.
➤There is one location I can't travel to and I would need the remaining 4 books to unlock it. That's just hoping for more RNG cooperation.
➤My flower breeding wasn't going as planned.
➤I did get a couple houses to 100% for their requests
➤Level 99 farming, unlocked a statue to triple crop harvests
➤I can easily pull in 2,500 dewdrops per day. Lots of stuff to buy still.
➤The game is such a treat. It's a streamlined experience and there's always a little more progress to make to keep you playing.
➤I can still see myself hopping on once in a while.

➤Did some more big upgrades for the lumbar yard and brickyard.
➤It's now spring again. I need two more books and there's still two mystery villagers. Time to look things up on The Internet™!
➤I am a fool thrice over. The Journal tab also tells you what you need to get those other people to your town. 🤦‍♂️
➤Sell 100 fish? I could've done that seasons ago. Town beauty? I have double the requirement. Welcome new peeps
➤I finished their initial requests immediately. Still can't buy the items I need for other villagers homes tho
➤Turns out two visitors require crossbreeding flowers. It feels more obtainable than waiting for the RNG to give me the rare items I need. A bug I needed was a possibility at the library tree and I didn't get a single one.
➤Wiki also stated I could acquire a pocket watch. You can rewind to the beginning of the day any number of times. Infinite energy!
➤I bought a perfect slimeapple and found a golden carrot. I hope I don't need these for anything.

#Littlewood #VideoGames #Gaming

➤I maxed out the lumbar mill, brickyard, Dalton's shop, Mayor office, and Deluca town.
➤Bought out Dalton's shop ASAP. Still can't complete the initial request in some houses.
➤Was rich, now poor.
➤"Auction House" in Deluca just another shop and there's no auction
➤Unlocked 'all the town wishes', but I don't see anything new?
➤New person in town! A queen has joined.
➤Still two mystery people to meet. I'll try upgrading the museum next.
➤I've hit a snag getting those books. Need a handful of different rare items for the visitors.
➤I kissed an orc and I liked it
➤Unlocked a crafting shop to give the final big upgrade to some buildings. Guaranteed double planks and might not use energy? Sign me up!
➤Found the silver pickaxe (finally).
➤Flowers everywhere, I've been crossbreeding them while I have the space.

#Littlewood #VideoGames #Gaming

➤Once again, the journal explains how to meet (some) of the travelers by selling specific items. Getting 20 books would be easier if I was doing it the whole time.
➤Of course, knowing where to get some of these rare items you need to sell is another matter entirely.
➤I maxed out the travel balloon and it's just access to another crafting area.
➤Still three more people I haven't met for the town. Where could they be?
➤Level 50 chests for stats just give you an item to make specific items types sell for more? Lame.
➤Guess I need to max out Dalton's shop. Even with the 6 star upgrade he isn't selling anymore furniture. I haven't been able to complete any more requests.
➤It took me this long to realize the rarer materials give you more exp points.
➤It's Autumn currently. I'll probably play into the Winter, but the day to day gameplay is getting a little too repetitive. I do feel like I'm making quick progress now.

#Littlewood #VideoGames #Gaming

➤Town has more stuff now. Quest board, compost bin, and some pens for the animals.
➤If I knew the villager gifts were equipment I would have focused them sooner. I had to keep going into build mode to move around. To be fair, I was focusing my money on town wishes.
➤Cooking is strange. You just shove the materials in and see if they form a recipe. Better than manually trying two items at a time.
➤Turns out the Journal has loads of information like what levels villagers need to be to see certain cutscenes and other progress indicators.
➤Card shop is built. No tutorial on how to play?
➤Some guy wants 20 books in the library to visit town. Now THAT sounds grindy. I've got about 5.
➤I should've named my town "The Watering Hole" because these townfolk are thirsty. Flirting with everybody.
➤Continuing the resource grind. Always need more planks and bricks.
➤My town sells more weed than a drug dealer. Why is it leagues above selling anything else?

I started playing Littlewood
➤Simple town builder. Collect resources to build, upgrade, and decorate the various buildings in town.
➤You saved the world from the bad guy. Now you amnesia and it's time to rebuild
➤I couldn't decide on a hairstyle so I went with being bald
➤Right from the start you can change the terrain.
➤Time passes when you take actions that gain resources. Talking is free.
➤End of day you get to watch all your experience bars fill up.
➤The grind is the game, but I've played for a few hours and haven't really seen any ways to speed up the resource gathering. You need wood/rock for everything and you have to collect the raw materials and then convert to planks/bricks.
➤There's 3 types of wood/rock BTW
➤Upgrading the buildings can be a bit costly and the reward is "3 rare items" most of the time. They couldn't think of anything to fill this out with?
➤I going to keep playing to see if the game opens up more.

I ran across the Wikipedia article on Littlewood polynomials. It has a plot of all the roots of the degree 15 polynomials, that looks very nice. I thought I would create an animation showing the roots for degree 1, degree 2, etc. I also thought maybe I'd add a plot of the roots for something with degree higher than 15. Here is the degree 16 plot (this is reduced to 25% of the original image). It took 2 hours in Sage on my laptop, so I might try 17, even 18 - who knows? I have the thought that I ought to be able to reduce the precision, and this ought to speed things up a lot (since for plotting much lower precision than the default is needed). I don't particularly like blue, though: I'll have to try other colors.

Littlewood polynomial - Wikipedia

Just finished Amazing Grace Adams [2023] by Fran #Littlewood. This is an amazing [yes, it is!] debut novel about a 45yo woman, her teenage daughter and her husband - whom you get to know and understand during different episodes going back and forth, over tens of years, which weren't easy but rich. Great storytelling, this book a monument of a woman in her midfourties, about parents, and about teens. ****
