"Love Song" is the debut single by American singer-songwriter #SaraBareilles, released in June 2007 via #EpicRecords from her major-label debut album, #LittleVoice (2007). It was nominated for #2009GrammyAwards in the categories #SongOfTheYear and #BestFemalePopVocalPerformance. "Love Song" spent 19 weeks in the top ten and an overall 41 weeks on the #Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number four there. Similarly, it peaked at number four on the #UKSinglesChart.

I’m now watching my Little Voice dvd, which is way too long ago. Magical performance by Jane Horrocks in a role that was literally made for her.

The writer of the stage play The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Jim Cartwright) knew Jane personally and once heard her sing in her garden, perfectly imitating the voices of famous singers. So he was inspired to write a play about a shy girl who almost never spoke but lit up when she could belt out some show tunes, using the voices of others, alone in her bedroom. Jane performed that role of Little Voice in the play and stole people’s hearts.

When the play much later was turned into a film by an American studio, they originally planned to have some current Hollywood star play Little Voice. Much furore ensued in the UK: there can only be one Little Voice. So Jane got her part back. And did it, like I said, magically.
