Defederated linuxrocks.online from my personal instance, as they seem to be knowingly harbouring hatemongering conspiracy theory bigots and refusing to take action about it when challenged over the policy.

Then, after this discussion, the owner of linuxrocks.online posted a gif of a comedy nazi guard with the caption "I see nothing".

100% block.

EDIT: Also it seems that their admin is publishing private abuse reports in public, and laughing at them along with the person being reported: https://linuxrocks.online/@yisraeldov/112865583454794746

LinuxRocks.Online

As #TechHub #moderation, we are still in the process of figuring out exactly where we stand with #LinuxRocksOnline. We are trying to take this slow, because there is a lot of traffic between our servers, and suddenly breaking that would be very disruptive. So far, I haven't seen anything quite to the level that I would fully block over yet, but we do have them limited at this point, which may change as the situation evolves.

I will say, if any of their members want to move their accounts over here, so as to not be blocked, y'all would be welcome to do that. Just understand that we have stricter rules about misinformation and hate speech: posting that a non-white female boxer is somehow male because she defeated a white boxer, or saying that Jews should not have equal rights to everyone else, is the kind of thing that would get you banned here. That's why we aren't blocked by as many servers.

@lunduke
As the head of #moderation on a server that is talking about this...

#LinuxRocksOnline is under fire right now due to numerous public conversations with moderation staff from other servers, in which LinuxRocks staff has said that they "would welcome antisemites and queerphobes", and will platform "unpopular political positions", which they seem to have defined as including the basic right of minority groups to exist. This has been, quite reasonably, interpreted as a refusal to moderate open bigotry on the timeline.

Controversial ideas are welcome, even necessary to a healthy discussion, but there is a fine line between new and interesting additions to the conversation, and hate speech, harassment, and (most importantly) misinformation. That is the concern that has even relatively block-hesitant servers like #TechHub getting squeamish.

...and personally, you being here isn't really our main issue, it's the things we're hearing in the discussion that are making us wary.
