welp, I almost got scammed.

life tip: if an online job sends you a check to buy stuff before the job training even starts, it is almost always a scam.

i didnt even deposit the check because the letter accompanying told me to send them the deposit receipt.

There's more and more scams on LinkedIn. I have to admit, the usage of the company field to fake the 2.9M follower is, sadly, smart.
I have no idea where this scam is going, since I've reported it every time it comes into my DMs. But I can only urge you to be super careful.
