I've just finished reading Lifehouse (https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/733978/lifehouse-by-adam-greenfield/) by @adamgreenfield . The essential premises are that (1) We can't do anything much about the climate crisis at this point, we're in for a long emergency, and (2) That local grass-roots mutual aid projects are best suited to dealing with crisis, and do contain a glimmer of hope for a more just society.

If you want the TL;DR - If this book does one thing particularly well for me, it's that it consistently speaks congruently with the reality of the crisis we face, which to my mind makes it more useful than 99% of the material out there.
