My adventure with the #ChristianFundamentalist church last night has really shifted my world view. It's one thing to conceptually know they exist, but it's another thing to be face to face with the lunacy of folks who believe the literal word of the Bible. Their conception of the evil world government run by the antichrist was basically the "#LiberalAgenda". I couldn't understand why people didn't want things like universal healthcare. It's deeper than just an unwavering belief in capitalism. They really think that creating a harmonious world is the work of the devil.

How do we exist in a world where people like that exist? I'm feeling lost in an increasingly toxic country. With headlines about how Trump could win again, I'm contemplating leaving the US. Have any of you out there immigrated from the US to somewhere else?

Oh man, I might have screwed up. So I kept promising to take my kids to a haunted house. My twins have never been to one. We were just too busy all month. I looked online and there were a few in Georgia that were still open this weekend, two of which were within driving distance of our house. I picked one that sounded cooler and hit the road about an hour ago with high expectations. We've been listening to Halloween music and prepping to be scared silly. And... It's at a Baptist Church. I'm sitting in the church social hall waiting for our time slot hoping against hope that this isn't super lame. Well, I guess if it is, my kids will have a funny story to tell.

I was out for my daily gallivant this #NewYear morn around #Dublin and overheard a robust discussion where a man shouted a well-worn line "It's all part of the #LiberalAgenda" as if that was a terrible thing.So please, what DO folks believe a #LiberalAgenda is that raises such ire? My understanding is that it's a desire for equality incl: social, health, work &learning supports for all.These supports would help all out of poverty, disenfranchisement &with aim of safety for all living together.
