OpenWebSearch.eu🗣️ OWS.EU partner IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center recently partook in the e-INFRA CZ conference in Prague.
As part of the conference programme, IT4I researcher Martin Golasowski spoke about "HPC-as-a-Service and distributed data management." In his talk he presented the OWS.EU public indexes to the users of the Czech national e-infrastructure showcasing access to large amounts of public data through a streamlined graphical user interface of the #LEXIS Platform.

The team of @IT4I – a OWS.EU consortium partner – was given an opportunity to demonstrate a new version of #LEXIS Platform to showcase federated execution of complex computing workflows & distributed data management across their EuroHPC Karolina & LUMI supercomputers.
📍 OWS.EU contributed data from the current #IndexPrototype to demonstrate data publishing + management options within the LEXIS Platform.

Decades ago I used to be able to walk into my local university w/out even being a student, use the PCs (no login required), and do copious lexis/nexis searches. University paid the (flat rate?) subscription. Are those days over?

christopherA long shot but just wondering if anyone else here is currently studying #EnglishLanguage at #ALevel and would like a buddy to compare notes and have chats about the course with. Lots to discuss, Including Methods of Language analysis: #phonetics, #graphology, #discourse, #lexis, #semantics, #grammar. Diversity & Change, Children's Language Development and Textual Variations and Representations. A bit of #linguistics too, (currently learning Italian). 💚
