Celebrate democracy by marching in the Jackson 4th of July Parade. This year marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and greatest act of rebellion in the name liberty and equality that the world has ever witnessed…
The revolution marches on in each and every one of you who stand up for democracy, the rule of law, and human rights for all. Join your neighbors on Saturday 7/4 at 9:30am on Snow King Dr. in front of the Fair Grounds to march for freedom. We will be displaying the “Stars for Democracy” banners so many of you contributed too.
Just look for the big green 6x6 army truck covered in your thoughts on what democracy means to you. We will be assigned a number in the parade line up the morning of the event and share it via the chat for this event and on social media….but we should be pretty easy to find.
Marching to fight for liberty and justice for all is the best way to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States.

This is a local Sandusky Indivisible event!
On Saturday July 4th, we will have a Sandusky Indivisible information booth at the annual Sandusky Stars and Stripes Celebration. This event is held in Washington Park in the afternoon with information, food, merchandise and craft booths. These are visited by local friends and families who come to the Jackson Street Pier event in the evening for the music and to view the July 4th fireworks display in the evening. Our booth will have Indivisible information hand-outs and a contact information sheet for those who want to know more about our local group, events and protests.
We need help with this booth! We have a folding table, five folding chairs, an awning (it gets hot!), a cooler, and bottled water plus informational hand-outs and freebies. This booth needs be covered by two volunteers from 10AM to 4PM in two hour shifts.

From Juneteenth Week to Election Day — these events are designed to keep pressure on, shift the conversation, and turn out our communities. We are unstoppable.
From Juneteenth through the midterms, we're gathering Black churches and people of faith into one sustained season of prayer, fasting, revival, and organized action.
We'll begin with 16 days of fasting and devotion from Juneteenth to the Fourth of July, grounding people spiritually each day as we prepare for the work ahead. From there, daily prayer calls, Justice Revivals, and The Freedom School gatherings in churches and communities across the country will carry the work through the summer and into the fall.

Celebrate Independence Day by showing up strong for the campaign and our local community! On Saturday, July 4th, we are joining forces with the Cobb County Democrats to march together in the annual Independence Day parade. We are looking for a lively group of 10 or more volunteers to walk alongside Chris Harden as part of this large, unified Democratic turnout. This is a spectacular opportunity to showcase our campaign's energy and momentum to thousands of local voters.
We will gather promptly at 9:00 AM in the staging area at Roswell Street Baptist Church, located at 774 Roswell St NE in Marietta. The parade itself kicks off at 10:00 AM and runs until approximately 12:15 PM, covering a 1.5-mile route that finishes near the Marietta Square. Volunteers should plan to be present from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM to help us check in, find our spot with the Cobb Democrats, and wrap up at the end of the route.
As part of our marching unit, you will help wave to the crowd, bring high energy, and proudly carry our official campaign banner within the larger group. Please wear your favorite blue campaign swag, such as t-shirts or hats, so our team stands out beautifully. To ensure we stay compliant with official parade regulations, please note that no handheld signs are allowed, and we are strictly prohibited from throwing candy or any other items into the crowd.
Because we will be walking 1.5 miles in the mid-summer heat, please remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, stay hydrated, and bring sunscreen. Once the parade wraps up, you are free to stick around to enjoy the downtown festivities or head out to your holiday celebrations.

Healthcare is in Critical Condition in Wisconsin.
In keeping with Indivisible MKE’s mission to empower Milwaukee's fight for social and economic justice for all, we are supporting a Statewide Ambulance Tour to raise awareness about healthcare disparities, which are particularly acute in Black, Latino and Indigenous communities.
Specially the tour highlights that fact that 250,000 Wisconsinites will lose, or have already lost, healthcare coverage. And 5 hospitals across the state are in danger of closing. All of these cuts are thanks to the Big Ugly Bill that Tom Tiffany signed. He now says he didn’t know the cuts were in the bill. That’s simply a lie.
The tour has gotten GREAT press coverage and Tiffany is publicly on the defensive. Let’s keep him there and raise our voices for healthcare justice.

Lament and Hope · Mobilize
On Sunday, June 28th at 5 pm ET, we will gather in Washington, D.C., with the Latino Christian National Network for a service of Lament and Hope that celebrates the contributions of immigrants to our country.
As we near America’s 250th anniversary, we face a choice: celebrate our highest ideals while ignoring the pain and contradictions in our history, or tell the truth about both. As followers of Jesus, we are called to help move our nation toward greater hospitality, dignity, and belonging.
The prophet Isaiah calls us to “lift up our voice like a trumpet” (Isaiah 58:1). As immigration raids and anti-immigrant policies create fear and uncertainty in communities across the country, people of faith are called to speak with courage and compassion.
When families are separated and neighbors live in fear, entire communities suffer. This is a moment to redefine what it means to be American and lift up our common values of family unity, human dignity, belonging, and the well-being of all.
