If you are thinking of jumping ship from @tindie to @lectronz then well...

DO IT!

#Lectronz was smaller, but the latest #tindie fiasco has changed that. You can see their own posts of new listings have gone from every few days to many a day. They are getting bigger.

But they do EU IOSS as well.
And they do US tariff as percentage.
And they do postage based on weight.
And they can import products from Tindie.

And, importantly, our last weeks sales match what we would have had with Tindie.

Lots more products listed on #Lectronz now. Ok I think all 25 products now.

I think the @lectronz sales are already catching up to what @tindie sales used to be, in the first week. This is very encouraging that we could drop #tindie totally perhaps.

Question for those who make stuff on #Tindie and #lectronz , any other small electronics DIYers, and maybe @revk
I've been wanting a simple badge/pin that would slowly go through the x-files taglines--- Resist or Serve, Believe the Lie etc... looking at Tindie, which is older and has a shit ton of art pieces I'm in LOVE with some of the LCD badge SAO stuff. My knowledge and vocab for electronics is beginner. The "anime" programmable badges on Amazon are huge, and boring. A small LED name badge Might work, but.... I really really love the circuit boards and cut metal plates you all are doing. OMG!
---Are there any search terms I should be using to find a small piece I can do this with?
--- Any recommendations for beginner kits, but NOT from tindie? (so sad because there are a few things I'd like to get and learn)
Thank you!!!

Learned something new today: Lectronz is the new Tindie!

Looks promising.

Well, @lectronz win here.

Our first ever IOSS shipment to EU (AUSTRIA), Austrian VAT charged at point of sale and no import VAT to pay for end user.

And all fed in to customs declaration on Royal Mail postage.

@tindie was never that slick.

I have it set up so my staff see a list of orders, one click to print postage and it tells Lectronz the shipment tracking all in one. They then pack, label, and done. Slick fulfilment.

It seems RM can do it, I’ll add to my rmapi4 code if not already done. (I may have added not knowing what it was for).

I need to check Lectronz API tells me when to apply it.

This will certainly please my EU customers.

This is interesting. It seems Lectronz can work as a “deemed supplier” in to the EU.

I wondered how this works now.

It seems there is an IOSS number to provide to the courier which presumably stops them asking the recipient for VAT.

I wonder if/how Royal Mail handle that. I’ll have to ask. It would make it a lot easier for EU buyers.

I dread to think what bureaucracy goes on behind the scenes with that!

Interesting quirk on #lectronz

New products show edit and delete
It seems those with sales do not show delete.

Two products do not show delete yet no order I see yet - is someone "ordering" now, I wonder.

Should have products on @lectronz shortly. Getting first one on, and approved, and then will do all the API integration on it. Planning to move all @tindie stuff over, obviously. No idea if we'd ever trust Tindie to re-list on them or not, maybe one day.

The shipping rate stuff on lectronz is way better. I have been able to fine tune USA rates, and I'll be working through more detailed EU shipping rates soon as well.

It allows us to get really close to shipping at cost price
