JamminJerryWell I have done it! I am now taking a personal #NVDA challenge. I have just uninstalled #JFW from my computer. I am going to see if between now and November 4th I can make it without using JFW at all. I already know of one area that I am going to have troubles, so if anyone who knows how to write things for NVDA wants to try to help, this is your chance. If someone could write an addon for NVDA that will allow someone to go to a web site, and save it as a favorite into a folder on there computer like #Leasie for JFW can do that would be greatly appreciated.
ok, I just found the problem with #Leasie saving the favorite, and I should have caught this, but this is what you get when you don't pay attention. apparently there was an and simble twice in the name, and you can't save filenames with the and simble in them, so while it said it was saved, it actually wasn't. I did get it to save by changing the and simbles to the word and, and it worked just fine. Now I feel extremely stupid.
erm? um? my #Leasie for JFW isn't storing a favorite for me? I do this a lot, but for some reason when I try to save a web site in my favorites with alt+a, and put in the name, and hit ok, I look in my favorites, and it just isn't there. it says it is saving it to c:\users\jammi\favorites which is where it should be saving it, but it just isn't there. you can hear audio of this attached. after it tells me it saved it, and where it saved it, you hear me go into my favorites folder, and then I try typing huf for the first three letters, and you hear the default sound when I hit the letter f.
well this isn't cool! I found a page that for some very strange reason #Leasie for #JFW isn't letting me save as a favorite. this is the first page I have come across that won't let me save it. I wonder why? I guess for now, I will just save it in a text file, which works, but still. that is just very strange.
