Well I've applied #WindowsUpdates and did their necessary reboots and #JFW is still running and hasn't bothered me to sign in again. That was a very unwelcome bit of behavior so I hope it stays gone.

Power users of pronunciation dictionaries, I have a pretty specific situation here. The person I'm proofing for uses actual space characters rather than tabs at the beginnings of his paragraphs, this results in having runs reported by text analyzer every time I get to a new paragraph. Having JAWS speak character count works, but this usually means seeing the space count at the beginning of each paragraph twice unless I turn off indentation indication. Yet, I need indentation indication to report justification levels such as centered or whether or not text is justified. I mark the ends of my sentences with one space. He marks them with two. is there a way I can make one dictionary entry that will allow me to set a sound to play when there are two spaces after colons or other other punctuation marks that normally end sentences? Or do I have to create an entry for every one of these? Just creating one for two spaces doesn't work because it gets triggered when two or more spaces in a row are encountered, so the three spaces my client uses for paragraph starters gets indicated... and we're back to square one. Ruh Roh Rorge I just found my first break in #JFW 2026 and i'm not pleased. When on a web page in Google Chrome with window maximized I can't copy text to clipboard but in JFW 2025 I still can. What on the earth is the meaning of this?
Well I have done it! I am now taking a personal #NVDA challenge. I have just uninstalled #JFW from my computer. I am going to see if between now and November 4th I can make it without using JFW at all. I already know of one area that I am going to have troubles, so if anyone who knows how to write things for NVDA wants to try to help, this is your chance. If someone could write an addon for NVDA that will allow someone to go to a web site, and save it as a favorite into a folder on there computer like #Leasie for JFW can do that would be greatly appreciated.
There are going to be lots of people that will be very surprised by me saying the following, but I am giving serious thought to if I want to pay for #JFW next month. I know there are a couple things I use that I can't get to work with #NVDA that work with JFW, but other than that, I really just don't know. I have been using NVDA almost constently over the past I think two months, and over all I like it. For me, it is mainly how fast it responds when you are doing things. Oh sure JFW isn't really slow, but it is slow enough that I notice it. I have until November 4th to decide what I am going to do, but at this time that is what I am really thinking about. Oh sure JFW is only just over 100 for a year, but right now, I think the only thing I have loaded it for in the past few weeks is if something crashes, and I need to kill the process. I don't use task manager, and don't like it. I use a program called process explorer, however a few times I have actually not thought about it, and loaded Blind Nerd Toolbox, and used that to kill it. The only other thing that I can think of right now that I would really miss is the ability to save favorites the way Leasie does for JFW. I still haven't found anything yet for NVDA that will do the same thing. Sadly this is not something I could use a 40 minute mode to do, as you have to have Leasie for JFW to even do this, so that option is out, but should I seriously pay just over 100 a year to then also pay I think around another 25 or 30 a year for just to ocationally save favorites? Now that I have said all of that, you guys can pick your jaw up off the floor, or pick yourself up off the floor that you fell out of your chair onto, and go about your day.
@ChrisDuffley Ah well I didn't need anything from him I just wanted to praise his #JFW Scripts for Speak Dropbox and SpeakOneDrive.
hey #JFW? there is a new version out. It is the September update. You are saying I am running the latest version thoughk, and I know this one hasn't been updated for maybe two months? what is the deal?
Question for my #Blind friends, does anyone know if iMazing on the #Windows side is #Accessible with #JFW or #NVDA? I figured I'd ask before I purchase the thing sight unseen as it were. Thanks in advance.
