The work on the park in Pelican Rapids appears to be complete. The dam replaced by rapids, Pelican Pete freshly painted, a new pedestrian bridge across river, and the former bottom of Mill Pond now grassy instead of muddy.

I had driven by this giant buffalo statue in #JamestownND a thousand times, but finally decided to stop and photograph it. I was surprised at how tall and anatomically correct it is. North Dakota's politicians could use a set of balls like these.

Couple more... Worlds largest loon in Vergas, and turkey in Frazee, #Minnesota.
I know Rothsay has worlds largest prairie chicken. And we haven't even started with Paul Bunyan's and Paul's girlfriends and oxen. And somewhere out thar in Minn is the world's largest ball of twine, which is still on my "go see" list.

I’m not sure why there are so many #LargeAnimalStatues in this area, but it is a thing. I suspect people having nothing better to do during winter may have something to do with it.
