Flying Fish and Chinese Yam.

I've sat on these pictures for a long, long time. Our trip to Orchid Island (蘭嶼) was way back in 2015. They have never been shared not because they are terrible photographs (I mean they are not great but that's not the point of this post) but because they tasted terrible. I guess the fish was okay but the Chinese yam was literally boiled in water and drizzled in my least favorite condiment: Taiwanese thick soy sauce (it is the worst ).

Funnily enough this meal is constantly brought up by yours truly whenever I have friends discuss traveling to Orchid Island. It was a terrible meal and I have photographs to prove it.
