I retired from the #NHS in March 2012, on the eve of #Lansley's stupidly damaging reforms, after years of cut-and-come-again "efficiency savings".
In my retirement speech I warned that it would destroy the NHS as we knew and relied on it. Sadly, I wasn't wrong.
