Tomorrow is our Pride Mass, and we are dedicating this Sunday's liturgy to honoring our LGBTQIA+ friends and family. After a beautiful day at Augusta Pride, we come to the table together to celebrate the people this community loves and the God who loves them first and without condition.

This Sunday's Mass intention is offered for all our LGBTQIA+ friends and family. The sermon continues our series The Kingdom Worth Everything with the word CROSS. The readings from Matthew 10 ask the question this community has been living all week: what does it cost to follow, and why is it worth it?

What a day!

Saint Francis Parish and Outreach was at Augusta Pride 2026 today at the Augusta Exchange Club Fairgrounds, and we are so grateful for everyone who stopped by our booth, said hello, took our materials, and let us say to your face what we have been saying from the pulpit for years: you are welcome here. No exceptions. No conditions. Ever.

To everyone who donated to make today possible: thank you. You put us in that space. You made it real. The people who came by our booth and found out that a church in Augusta means it when it says all are welcome, those conversations happened because of you.

This is what the Church is supposed to look like. We will keep showing up.

This Sunday we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord at Saint Francis Parish and Outreach. The disciples stood staring at the sky where Jesus had been. Two figures in white interrupted them with a gentle but urgent question: why are you still looking up?
The commission is still the same. All nations. All the way to the ends of the earth. With the promise: I am with you always.
