Still needs to be approved by the Louisiana House, but motivation for the unsightly Baton Rouge-to-Shreveport #LA06 appears to be to preempt an Obama-appointed federal judge from drawing a different VRA-compliant plan that could end up hurting Johnson or Letlow.

I’m sorry but I can’t believe that the republicans will just lie down and take this on the chin. They’re going to submit a new map that’ll end at the same result as before (eliminating representation) and the s federalist society chonks will swallow the new justification
