My husband’s thesis advisor years ago was a brilliant man who presumed he knew everything about everything when he only knew his area of study. One time, he was giving me & a friend a ride home. The two of us were practitioners of t’ai chi chu’an & Hung Gar kung fu. The thesis advisor proceeded to lecture to us about how martial arts has no spiritual component.
